Developers Rolling Glory Jam originally made Rage In Peace for the #IndiesVSPewDiePie game Jam. Currently, the developers are now seeking votes on Steam Greenlight to get the game published as an actual complete game.
Rolling Glory Jam says that Rage In Peace will be a story-driven platform adventure game, so every stage isn’t just a random event of you trying to survive to get to the end, but instead, it has an actual story and a purpose with each level.
The story follows middle-aged business man, Timmy Malinu, as he tries to get through his final day of work to die in peace back at his home, which happens to be several miles away. Timmy seems to love the simple boring life, a life filled without drama or complications. However, that all changes when the Grim Reaper appears and tells him that today will be his final day and that he will die. Timmy must now do everything within his power to survive the day to reach his home, climb into bed, and die in peace to fulfill his dream of dying back at his home.
But as it stands, the Grim Reaper has a job to do and a soul to collect, and he will literally throw any and everything at you to kill you in the most ridiculous ways; and this is where you, the player comes in.
Like most Rage games in the genre, the puzzles and platforming elements revolves around you memorizing the stage and all the crazy nonsensical traps that are scattered around in an attempt to avoid them to survive the level, while also collecting special items to increase your score or unlock achievements.
At the end of the level the game will tally up your score, your best time and how many tries it took you to complete the level, while also progressing the story forward. The developers released a gameplay trailer video showing off their new game, so take a look at the Rage In Peace video linked down below.
Rage In Peace is scheduled for an early 2018 release date, so if you are interested in supporting the game and learning more, head on over to the Steam Greenlight page to cast your vote and read up on additional details.
