Derpy Xur in Destiny has surfaced once again and can be found in the Tower like most of his weekly appearances that consist of him hiding in the same spot. The exotic trader is looking to barter with Guardians and holds some noteworthy stuff this time around. The game itself is out now for PS3, Xbox 360, PS4 and Xbox One.
This week, Xur is located in the Vanguard section of the Tower. This means he’s not too far from Guardians once you enter the Tower, all one must need to do to find derpy Xur is go past Eris and the vendors around her and you should see the derpy looking exotic trader.
Guardians will find that this week’s Xur is most likely catered toward newcomers and intermediate players and not so much for those who have reached endgame status and are looking to increase their character(s) even more. With that said, Xur’s selection of armor includes the Twilight Garrison chest piece for Titans, the Don’t Touch Me gauntlets for Hunters and the Void Fang Vestments Chest Piece for Warlocks.
As for the exotic weapon Xur is offering this week comes the MIDA Multi-Tool that is known as a reliable and solid scout rifle. The gun is worth picking up if you don’t have it in your inventory already, although it’s worth noting that the gun has been nerfed and may not perform the same in PvP — but it’s still worth checking out.
A visual guide by Mesa Sean sits below.
A bulleted list of his exotic items can be seen right below detailing the price and type:
- (Titan Chest Piece) Twilight Garrison – 13 Strange Coins
- (Hunter Gauntlets) Don’t Touch Me – 13 Strange Coins
- (Warlock Chest Piece) Voidfang Vestments – 13 Strange Coins
- (Scout Rifle) MIDA Multi-Tool – 23 Strange Coins
- (Legacy Engram) Heavy Weapon – 31 Strange Coins
TL;DR: Two items worth picking up, although you don’t have to, comes the Titan Chest Piece the Twilight Garrison and the scout rifle named the MIDA Multi-Tool. Optional purchases include the Heavy Ammo Synths and Three of Coins. Other items in derpy Xur’s inventory are worth a pass unless you are hard up for a specific item that’s not named above.
