Mods are great and oftentimes adds another layer to a good or bad game in terms of replay value. However, there are other mods out there that take things to a whole new level and are oftentimes referred to as “ambitious” mods that change a game completely, nearly making it a total conversion. In this case Fallout 4 has received a new ambitious mod that takes players from Boston, Massachusetts to Earth’s white satellite. Bethesda’s Fallout 4 is out now for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
If you want to change things up and take Fallout 4 to space and turn into your very own Sole Survivor, a new moon mod will let you do just that. Yes, Fallout 4 in space is made possible by modder CoffeeAddictUK, who also created a new quest-line for wastelanders to explore.
The modder also wrote an introductory that accompanies the mod on NexusMods, which reads below:
“This mod allows you to travel to the MOON! After a long time working with the Institute, a scientist abandoned her bosses. With determination to uncover what the abandoned project LUNAR was, with all the evidence she could gather, she uncovers that the Institute were planning to travel to the MOON! Unsure of the purpose, she devises a way to tune a teleporter to one of the old transmitters on the moon. However, before she could get there, she was killed. If you find the teleporter, maybe YOU could finish her work!”
Wastelanders tired of traveling the same places now have a new location to explore that comes packed with “Environmental storytelling.” But if you are the type that likes to chill and leave all pressing events to remain intact, settlement building and establishing your own place is a thing in this mod.
If you don’t want to build settlements, explore quests or do the story integrated in the mod, you can also fiddle around with the low gravity feature that’s always present when out in space.
As for the visual side of the mod it sees improved landscape textures, persistent stars, an appearing Earth that also rotates, a re-skinned workshop that is now a Control Center, and many aliens and spaceship encounters.
