Telltale announced that the second episode to their ongoing series of episodic content based on Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy will launch for the Xbox One, PS4, PC, Android and iOS devices starting June 6th next week.

The second episode is entitled “Under Pressure”. It picks right after the first episode ended with Star-Lord and either Gamora or Drax on the Kree ship. For those of you who didn’t play the first episode, there’s a minor spoiler ahead: Star-Lord died by getting stabbed in the chest.

However, the eternity forge is a powerful cosmic relic and the Guardians are intent on discovering its secrets, but they’ll need a bit of help in doing so. The second episode will see the Guardians making uneasy allies with untrustworthy people while also having to team up with “dubious old friends”. The first person who came to mind with that last line was Yondu.

The second episode for Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series will also explore the troubled past of Rocket Raccoon. So for everyone out there who was curious as to why he’s always so angry and such a crotchety curmudgeon, you’ll get some insight into that. They’ll also hopefully explore more of Star-Lord and Rocket’s falling out that took place in the first episode, where the two had a serious butting of heads after they killed Thanos.

There were also hints that Nebula may also play a role in the events to come regarding the Guardians and possibly Thanos.

They seem to be building toward a subplot that involves Nebula getting her hands on the Eternity Forge in order to revive Thanos. However, in order to do so she’ll need to make a sacrifice.

We’ll find out exactly what they have in store when the second episode for Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series launches on June 6th in two week’s time.
