The Game Awards 2017 Announced And Set For December 7th

The Game Awards 2017 has been announced to kick off on December 7th, and will be held in Los Angeles, California, where show producer Geoff Keighley announced via Twitter. As of now, Tickets are on sale for those looking to attend said event when the latter part of 2017 arrives.

Geoff Keighley recently announced that The Game Awards 2017 will be held in Los Angeles, California, and that tickets for said event will go on sale today at 10:00 A.M. PDT / 1:00 P.M. EDT. The announcement for the December 7th event was published via Keighley’s Twitter account and can be seen below.

If the above tweet does not show up for your viewing pleasure you can read the announcement in the following blockquote:

“Happy to announce @thegameawards return to Los Angeles on December 7. Tickets on sale today at 10am.”

The main website has not been updated as of this writing and will likely reflect the changes noted above (the event date and tickets) either later today or tomorrow. If last year’s event, The Game Awards 2016, was any indication and follows the pattern of tickets being free, then we might just see free tickets yet again for the 2017 edition. However, though, it remains unknown at this very moment as to whether the tickets will be free or not.

Moreover, while a lot of the comments over on the Twitter post made by Keighley are stating that they will get a good laugh at the cringe fest from said event, it’s also worth noting that the event will not only “award” games but will also reveal expansions and new titles, too.

In addition to the above, last year brought forth reveals, announcements and trailers for games like Death Stranding, an extended look at The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and much more. With that said, do you think that this year Game Awards 2017 will be decent or a disaster?
