Demon Gaze 2 is set to come Westward for PS Vita and PS4. Originally made by Kadokawa Games and Experience, the dungeon crawler will be localized by NIS America, which has quite a bit of fans worried. The game is set to release sometime this Fall.
NIS America will bring Demon Gaze 2 to the West for PS Vita and PS4 during the Fall of 2017. The information regarding the dungeon crawler heading Westward this year comes in by the devs, where the company made the announcement at Anime Expo 2017.
According to the game’s main website we learn that there will be a limited edition copy featuring the game, the official soundtrack, the official hard cover art book, and a collector’s box that is up for pre-order. The main site that features a pre-order button, should you choose to click on it, will bring you to NIS America store that shows the limited edition PS Vita or PS4 version of Demon Gaze 2.
Looking over to the actual game itself, you can read a brief description explaining what Demon Gaze 2 is all about and watch a movie trailer showing the game’s opening.
“Magnastarhas spellbound the people of Asteriainto obeying him. As the Revolutionist Party attempts to overthrow him, it is up to you, the Demon Gazer, to wield the power of demons, liberate Asteria’s citizens, and shine the light of revolution!”
As for features, Demon Gaze 2 sports a demon synergy system that can turn foes to allies. The converted foes can then be powered up through the Trance Demon Mode or they can be fused with you (the player) by using the Demon’s Cross. Additionally, relationships can be built up on the battlefield to develop a better bond with your companions that can lead to a wide variety of opportunities.
As it stands now, a lot of fans are worried that the game might face censorship and could potentially be something worth passing on due to NIS America handling localization; the outfit has a long and storied history with overt censorship.
For fans eagerly awaiting the game, it remains to be seen at this moment if the game will arrive in the West unscathed or not.
