Koei Tecmo and Omega Force have manage to get gamers pretty pumped for the upcoming entry in the ongoing Dynasty Warriors series. And with the latest Dynasty Warriors 9 shaping up to release across PC, PS4, and Xbox One, a new live stream brings forth gameplay footage ahead of its official release date showing Guan Yu, Cheng Pu, Cao Cao and Xiahou Dun.
Fans keeping track of Dynasty Warriors 9 info can recall the recent activity where Koei Tecmo released some character profiles through video form on the game’s main site. Joining the other character reveals comes yet another video showing Guan Yu, Cheng Pu, Cao Cao and Xiahou Dun in action.
The video, like one would expect, shows early gameplay footage that will likely change at release. In other words, the “alpha” footage shows rough animations, early lighting effects and other features that need touching up.
Folks looking to see the latest gameplay video, thanks to Koei Tecmo, the live stream event at ChinaJoy 2017 last weekend showcases eight minutes of Dynasty Warriors 9 as seen below.
The video as of this moment has a noticeable amount of dislikes, which is more than likely attributed to a multi-list of reasons and not just one. The true question is how well will Koei Tecmo and Omega Force iron the game out when its release date rolls around?
In addition to the above, seeing that we don’t have an official release date yet, the team should have some time on hand to fix any major problems so that gameplay wise the game turns out to be fun in the end rather than a mess… hopefully.
Dynasty Warriors 9 is set to launch for PC, PS4, and Xbox in the West, as for the Japanese version of the game it will launch only for PS4. Both versions of the game at the moment have no set release date yet.
