A new Halo SPV3.1 PC mod from Masterz and crew has surfaced and is now available for download. If you happen to be a fan of the old, original first-person shooter known as Halo: Combat Evolved, then it’s worth giving this mod a look.
If you happen to be a PC gamer and a fan of Halo, especially the game that started it all, the SPV3 mod for Halo Custom Edition has officially launched for fans and gamers alike to download and play right now on PC.
Like any other major mod for a game, this mod, too, offers quite a bit of changes for veterans who enjoyed the original Halo and for newcomers to experience a well improved version of the now 16 year old FPS game.
Having been released last year in a semi-complete state, the new SPV3.1 brings an improved launcher for easy installation and a complete campaign — for those looking for something to do with the new content — filled with altered levels, new weapons, improved graphics and better frame-rate.
If you want to check out the new trailer or find the download link, two videos that Masterz1337 posted up are below containing the aforesaid.
If you are curious as to what is all new you can check out all of the new things added via SPV3.1:
- Levels reworked to add complexity and variety
- Graphical enhancements
- Improved controller support
- Dialogue restored after being cut from the original game
- New weapons, vehicles, and original additions
- Armor abilities like Sprint and the Halo 3: ODST VISR
- Brutes and Skirmishers
- Data logs that bring expanded universe lore
- Multiple variations of UNSC weapons
- First Person Hunter Cannon
You can get this mod right now by heading on over to the project’s official subreddit or mediafire.com. It is worth noting that you will need a CD Key from the PC release of Halo: Combat Evolved in order to play.
