No Man’s Sky Atlas Rises Update 1.3 To Release This Week For PC And PS4
(Last Updated On: August 9, 2017)

It has been a full year since No Man’s Sky first became available for gamers to purchase and play. As an anniversary update, Sean Murray and Hello Games released a new letter on No Man’s Sky website detailing that “Atlas Rises” update 1.3 will release for PC and PS4 this week.

Hello Games took to its official website to update fans on the forthcoming release of update 1.3 and how the latest version will not only be free but will release this week for PC and PS4. Part of the note featured on nomanssky.com can be seen below:

“Update 1.3 will release this week and will be available for free to all No Man’s Sky players. We’re calling it Atlas Rises. It focuses on improving the central story of No Man’s Sky and adds the ability to quick travel between locations using portals. Patch notes will be made available shortly before the update goes live.”

The update will include features that will focus heavily on the story of No Man’s Sky as well as the ability to quick travel between locations (likely places that you have already visited) by using portals. It’s worth noting that more features will likely show up when the patch/update notes drop with Atlas Rises update 1.3, so you should keep your eyes peeled for that.

As of this moment, the community seems to be split on whether or not multiplayer should be added, however the more important question is will the update be worth all the time that was put into the alternate reality game (ARG) or will it be something sub-par? Sadly, only time will tell, seeing how the full letter made mention that the team’s actions hold more weight than their words.

“the community is split about mulitplayer”

Heh, the community can kiss my butt for all I care. Since when was I the guy that follows other dorks? I go my own way like in this game. Better not meet me or you’ll be space scrap. No, seriously, I said it once and say it again. Keep multiplayer out of this game, for that, you have all the other space games which most of the gamers think are superior than NMS, but opinions and butts, I guess you know the rest.

I am very intrigued about this update and how this will work. Heck, I even deleted my old save file and started from zero. I really want to see what Hello Games has for us. But to be honest, for me at least, this game can’t get any worse. Only better ;D

“the community is split about mulitplayer” what shite they forgot the promise they made. that MP was suppose to be a feature.

and those trailers was obvious misleading, now about MP there are two version of MP co-op and comp It the former Co-op so why people are split.

Because some people don’t want the mp now. They enjoy the serenity which the game gives you. And then there are the people, who want to fly with their buddies throught the universe together, which is okay if they like this. But those are the two factions, which really dislike each other.

On the other hand, I wonder how you want to do a mp in a game like this? It sounds complicated to me.

Where the hell are they getting the money to keep working on this?

    • Galbador

This is actually a good question =D

Dude the game has sold well even the horrible pc version sold well, they got 60 bucks per sale this is not a early access priced game.

    Too little too late

You know, I feel the game would’ve been better received if they told viewer the videos being used were visual concepts of what they want the game to be at the end of its video game lifespan. Every update will have new features striding for the things that were possible in the videos.

I actually don’t blame them. I can only shake my head over all those people, who pre-ordered the game, because their were so hyped about this all. If you are not sure, you don’t pre-order something. This is the worst mistake you can do. I made this mistake with Shadows of Mordor… what a crap game!
