Battle Splash 2.0, Water-Gun PvP Game Open Beta Is Free-to-Play

The free open beta for Dranya Studio’s Trianga Project’s Battle Splash 2.0 has officially gone live. You can hop into the game right now by heading on over to the Steam store page and clicking on the big green “Play Game” button.

The new game sees players taking on the role of female characters battling it out in a virtual world created by Trianga Polyga. Battle Splash 2.0 is actually like a game within a game, because it’s a water-gun simulation set within Polyga’s “Brainwave Oriented Simulation System”. I don’t know if there’s ever going to be something larger that addresses the story surrounding Polyga, but for now the Battle Splash 2.0 universe centers around the virtual squirt-gun battle sim where players will use water balloons, water guns, and other liquid-based weaponry in which to fight opponents.

According to the developer, Battle Splash 2.0 has been designed to be as easy as possible, so that any and everyone can pick it up and play it without having to get bogged down with an extensive or high yield learning curve. Instead, you pick from one of the four playable female characters, team up with your friends and you battle it out across three different game modes.

You can see what the gameplay is like with a Let’s Play video below from ErduanShadowHD.

The game supports up to four teams per map and 24 players in total on a map.

If you don’t have friends online, if you don’t like playing with people online, and if you don’t have any interest in the online modes, don’t fret because you can play offline against 23 other AI opponents.

Mod support is enabled, and there are plans to add new features, new maps, new modes, and new content over the course of the next year. Battle Splash 2.0 likely won’t be finished until sometime late into 2018.

The full version of the game will not be free-to-play but will be buy-to-own. So if you want to get in on the action right now, for free, you can grab a copy of Battle Splash 2.0’s beta right now from over on the Steam store.
