Whether you like to refer to him as derpy Xur or just Xur, he’s now back and looking to trade his inventory of goods to Guardians who have extra Legendary Shards on hand. Destiny 2 is currently out now for PS4 and Xbox One.
If you happen to be looking for Xur’s location this week and don’t know where he may be, hopefully this guide will be something of use. Offering Destiny 2 players a new selection of exotic items, however not a new weapon, players will be able to locate his whereabouts in the Giant’s Scar, Echo Mesa section of Io, in a cave.
The exotic items Xur has this week has a little bit of something for everyone: For Titans a chest piece named Hallowfire Heart, for Hunter a set of gauntlets named Mechaneer’s Tricksleeves, and for Warlock boots named Transversive Steps, as seen below:
- (Titan Chest Piece) Hallowfire Heart – 23 Legendary Shards
- (Hunter Gauntlets) Mechaneer’s Tricksleeves – 23 Legendary Shards
- (Warlock Boots) Transversive Steps – 23 Legendary Shards
- (Submachine Gun) Riskrunner – 29 Legendary Shards
As for the weapon, which is a sub-machine gun, comes the Riskrunner. The weapon isn’t bad, but it isn’t overly great either. It should also be noted that players will be able to obtain this exotic weapon just by playing the campaign, meaning that if you have it on-hand right now you won’t be experiencing anything new.
If you happen to be empty handed and have no Riskrunner, you should pick up the sub-machine gun. As for special perks and abilities, the Riskrunner grants the wielder upon taking damage from arc energy a perk that lets the weapon fire an endless amount of bullets that sparks and chains lightning damage between enemies.
A video guide by YouTuber Pacey McGarry has a brief rundown up showing Guardians what Xur inventory looks like this week.
Destiny 2 is currently out now for PS4 and Xbox One, and will gain a PC version during the late part of October.
