Square Enix Announces New Survival Action Game Left Alive

It’s not Left 4 Dead, but keeping the premise of a survival-action and eliminating the horror part comes Square Enix 2018 title Left Alive. The latest announcement trailer showing a dilapidated city reveals a mecha Sci-Fi world that will be available for PC via Steam and PS4 sometime in 2018.

Publication site Gematsu recently covered the new game, a survival action game, which comes in by Square Enix. Titled as Left Alive, the game will sport “action shooter” elements and is planned to hit PC and PS4 in 2018. Square Enix relayed this information during the 2017 PlayStation Press Conference in Japan.

According to the publication site, the game is led by developers Toshifumi Nabeshima who directed the Armored Core series, Yoji Shinkawa who helped designed the Metal Gear series, and Takayuki Yanase who happens to be a mech designer for Ghost in the Shell: Arise, Mobile Suit Gundam 00, and Xenoblade Chronicles X.

There is no word as to whether this game will be set in third-person or first-person, if it will have health regeneration or health pickups, if it will have open stages or linear levels, and how its action sequences will be play out. The good news is that in the next three days we will gain more info on Left Alive.

Speaking of more info on Left Alive, the devs announced that they will talk more about the game during an upcoming Tokyo Game Show 2017 stage presentation set for September 21st at 11:00 JST, which will drop via a live stream on YouTube and NicoNico.

If you happen to be a bit impatient and want to see this game, the official announcement trailer by Square Enix lies below.

Given that we have three days to go until more info drops, I do have to say that this game does seem quite interesting. I don’t know how it’ll turn out, but that’s what its September 21st showing is for, until then you can hit up jp.square-enix.com.
