Indie publisher and developer Zachtronics is known for its puzzling infrastructures that explore programming and commanding technology. Well, Zachtronics is back at it again and this time with a game called Opus Magnum, which follows after its hit game SHENZHEN I/O.
It is safe to argue that a lot of Zachtronics’ games could fit perfectly on mobile platforms. However, the concept of games like SHENZHEN I/O are a lot more complex once the surface has been scratched.
Speaking of SHENZHEN I/O, if said game is any indication as to what Opus Magnum might hold at launch, gamers could be in for another “Overwhelmingly Positive” game that’s more complex than its graphical design.
If you are curious as to what Opus Magnum aims to bring to the forefront of indie strategy/puzzle gaming, the official description lies below for your reading pleasure:
“Opus Magnum is the latest open-ended puzzle game from Zachtronics, the creators of SpaceChem, Infinifactory, and SHENZHEN I/O. Design and build machines that assemble potions, poisons, and more using the alchemical engineer’s most advanced tool: the transmutation engine!”
Seems like fun, no? If you want a better look because the game’s premise isn’t cutting it, the official trailer by Zachtronics showing what Opus Magnum will have you doing can be seen right here.
Much like the last game by said dev team, it’s likely that hardcore puzzle fans looking to understand and straighten out mechanical systems to produce potions, poisons, and other elements we’ll most likely find similar feats in SHENZHEN I/O looming around in Opus Magnum.
The best part for eager fans looking to get their hands on this game is that the game is set to launch on October 19th. Like the previous 2016 title by Zachtronics, this one, too, will be for PC.
