Warhammer 40,000: Gladius – Relics Of War Coming Soon To Steam

Slitherine Games, Proxy Studios, and Games Workshop recently announced that yet another Warhammer game is on the way, this time it’s called Warhammer 40,000: Gladius – Relics of War. The new real-time strategy title is currently scheduled to release soon on Steam for PC.

Slitherine will also host a live-stream on December 1st to help introduce the game to those looking to find out more about this new title.

For the most part, it’s a 4x strategy game set within the Warhammer 40K universe. Players will have four different factions to choose from, as they develop, enhance, explore and exterminate the competition.

To help give you a small taste of what’s to come you can check out the announcement trailer below.

You’ll have the options of playing as the Space Marines, the Orks, the Necrons or the Astra Militarum.

In addition to playing the different factions and attempting to expand the way you interact and eradicate the competition, there’s a robust single-player story mode that’s being implemented along with a competitive multiplayer component. So you’ll have the best of both worlds, and hopefully without any premium loot boxes included.

Ahead of the game’s release there will be a beta, but they don’t detail when it’s arriving or how you’ll be able to join. Those details will likely be unveiled during the live-stream next Friday on December 1st.

The Warhammer games have been decidedly hit and miss over the years, with some games like Creative Assembly’s Total War: Warhammer being a pretty big hit, while other games like Warhammer: Eisenhorn: Xenos have been a pretty big miss.

Slitherine will have their work cut out for them as all eyes will be on them when December 1st hits and they’ll likely show some real-time gameplay and gamers will get to see how well it plays. Until then you can keep an eye out on the Steam page or join in on the forum discussion.
