Space Hulk: Tactics Announced For PC, PS4 And Xbox One

Focus Home Interactive and Cyanide Studios recently announced that Space Hulk: Tactics is on the way for PC, PS4 and Xbox One gamers, based on Games Workshop’s iconic Warhammer 40,000 universe.

The studios made it known that the upcoming game is a new strategy title aimed at the ever-expanding hardcore PC audience, who has proven to be a lot more reliable for sales and product growth than console games over the last year, especially with PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds being the biggest selling game of 2017.

The game will center around playing as the feared Terminator Space Marines taking on the infiltration units known as Genestealers. You’ll be able to play as either side of the conflict, meaning you’ll have two completely different narratives to explore in the campaign mode.

On one side you’ll be able to play as the Blood Angels squad, and on the other you’ll be able to play as the Genestealers for the very first time in a Space Hulk game.

What’s more is that it’s not just a standard tactical strategy game, there will also be the inclusion of deckbuilding through card collecting. As you build your deck and utilize your cards, you’ll be able to customize each of your squad members so that they can trigger special abilities.

As is usual for most games like this, you can expect to also take the fight to others online with the PvP mode.

But in addition to the standard PvP modes there’s also a new map creation utility that will be included so players can create their own maps. They didn’t drop a trailer for the game yet but they did note that the game will feature various chapters of the Space Marines, including the Blood Angels, the Space Wolves and the Ultramarines.

You can expect the gameplay reveal to take place this February at the Focus Home Interactive press conference in Paris, France. Space Hulk: Tactics is due for release later this year for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
