Utomik is the latest in online streaming services to attempt to usher in that “all digital future” that pioneers of press speak like Larry “Major Nelson” Hryb have been proselytizing since the days of Microsoft’s less-than-successful attempt at getting gamers on board the “power of the cloud” train. Well, despite other services like OnLive not quite taking off for the long haul due to infrastructure issues and sustainability challenges, Utomik feels like their time is now and they don’t want to be like John Cena where you can’t see them.
So what do you do in a crowded digital market to stand out? Try to lure in as many publishers as possible to help leverage the software offerings through the digital library of streaming content. With that said, Utomik decided to acquire the services of Curve Digital to add their offering of games to their ever-expanding smorgasbord of digitally delectable content.
The new games from Curve Digital that are currently available on Utomik were briefly and quickly spotlighted in a 37 second promo trailer to give you a quick rundown of the new content.
The line-up of games includes:
- Manual Samuel
- Human: Fall Flat
- Stikbold! A Dodgeball Adventure
- Serial Cleaner
There are also a number of other games being added to the line-up as well in the coming months, including:
- The Flame in the Flood
- The Little Acre
- Stealth Bastard Deluxe
- Stealth Inc 2: A Game of Clones
- Pumped BMX+
Utomik plans on expanding its library each and every week to add to its constantly growing cache of more than 700 hand-picked games from a diverse selection of publishers and game developers.
Cloud streaming still isn’t quite household adopted by most people given average internet speeds and bandwidth caps – and boy oh boy does streaming eat into bandwidth caps – yet some companies continue to push forward regardless of what roadblocks stand in their way.
