Whatever your thoughts may be on EA and DICE’s Star Wars Battlefront 2, the publisher and developer invited several people over to Stockholm, Sweden to test and show off some of the March update ahead of March 21st. Star Wars Battlefront 2 is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
In the next few days, people who continue to play and look forward to Star Wars Battlefront 2 will be able to play the first (2015) Star Wars battlefront’s Bespin Administrator’s Palace map via the March update.
A video by Star Wars HQ has an in-depth take on it all detailing what fans of the game will receive when the update goes live.
The new Bespin map — which is actually an older map — will not only be playable in Star Wars Battlefront 2, but the Administrator Palace map will be applicable across Blast, and Heroes Vs. Villains game modes.
If you did not watch the above video that walked through how the new progression system looks/works, and how the new menus, new skill point system, and how star cards and leveling up works, a brief written version sits below.
Players will be able to earn experience points for classes, hero characters, and ships in multiplayer. When enough experience points are earned to gain a level for that unit, one Skill Point will be distributed for use to unlock or upgrade an eligible Star Card.
Crates no longer include Star Cards and cannot be purchased. Furthermore, Crates are earned by logging in daily, taking up Milestones, and can be earned through timed challenges. Additionally, inside a Crate, players will find Credits, cosmetic items or emotes.
As for the future and starting in April, players will be able to obtain appearances only through in-game Credits or Crystals.
There’s no telling how this new progression system or how the March update will pan out at launch, but what is for certain is that it will launch come March 21st for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
