Ubisoft Rumored To Be Making A New Splinter Cell Game
(Last Updated On: March 13, 2018)

Ubisoft first released Splinter Cell to the masses as an exclusive to the OG Xbox back in 2002. The action-stealth game garnered quite the following, and managed to spawn a series of sequels. After laying dormant for years, fans of the series might see a new title from Ubisoft.

Notice: The following information should be taken with a grain of salt due to no actual confirmation being made by Ubisoft. Although there is little evidence that suggests a new Splinter Cell game could be in the works, no official information has been disclosed as of this writing to confirm its development.

According to publication site GameRant and DSOG, it has been reported that a listing for a new Splinter Cell game has surfaced on Amazon. The thing about this new rumored game is that the Amazon page showing the below image has been taken down.

The latter publication site notes that back in 2017 Ubisoft had not forgotten about the Splinter Cell series. Back in June Ubisoft’s CEO, Yves Guillemot, stated the following information:

“I can’t say much about that. For sure, all the Clancy games are taken care of. It’s just that we have a lot on our plate at the moment and The Division continues to be played and Rainbow Six too. I think yesterday was even one of the highest numbers of players playing… So all the Clancy games are coming along. We are not forgetting Splinter Cell.”

If this is all true folks interested in Splinter Cell will be able to execute stealth maneuvers, and perform both lethal and non-lethal takedowns in a new entry of the series.

The current talk around this rumored Splinter Cell game is that it will appear at E3 2018. With that said, do you think that Ubisoft is making another Splinter Cell game? And do you think that Ubisoft will reveal it at this year’s E3?
