Item 42 Releases New Blister Screenshot Showing Close Quarters Combat

Item 42 has posted up a new screenshot showing off Blister. The close quarters combat image depicts how a special operative would go about dealing with insurgents in claustrophobic areas.

Powered by the Unreal Engine 4, Blister is currently in development as we speak. The good news is that we get to see a small glimpse of what Item 42 has in store for tactical single-player FPS goers thanks to the new screenshot.

The image reveals the act of raiding a farmhouse complex and eliminating insurgents in its claustrophobic spaces. We can see a few firearms in the screen, which the UMP happens to be in the hands of an insurgent.

Speaking of weapons, taking a look over to Blister’s roadmap page on we can see how many weapons are planned to be in the game. However, it is noted that the lists below are not complete just yet.

It’s worth keeping in mind that all of the aforesaid might change, but to see so many weapons and attachments made (and in development) from scratch on an indie level is quite impressive.

The good news is that Item 42 is still working on Blister. Hopefully, this screenshot means that we might hear or see something significant about the tactical FPS game sometime soon.
