A new teaser trailer has hit the scene showing off MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries‘ destruction. The game itself is still in development, but it looks like developer Piranha Games is proud of MW5’s destructibility and wanted to show it off to the masses.
The latest teaser trailer for MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries revolves solely around destruction. Some viewers of the trailer feel that the destruction showcased was nothing to write home about, while others enjoyed it.
The trailer’s like ratio, when compared to dislikes, is pretty good, it just seems that most hardcore MW fans are displeased with the choice of music and destruction. Moreover, you can be the judge by watching the new trailer right here.
The last update on Mercenaries was published last month. The video titled “Basics” explained the mech commander mode where you’re in combat, and the management mode where you’re outfitting and organizing your crew, gear, tech, and equipment.
Furthermore, the new game will sport a single-player mode and co-op capabilities, along with mod support.
As for Mercenaries single-player mode, it will feature a “simulation-like campaign” where the player takes control of a mercenary company and can roam areas and fight different enemies.
Mercenaries will support Steam Workshop, meaning that mod support should be able to fix anything that may seem irksome to you. This also means that all the usual stuff like graphical mods, SFX mods, and other modules to increase the immersion and gameplay will be possible after it launches.
It should be noted that the gameplay above does not represent the full version of the game. Hopefully, Mercenaries launch is more than just mediocre but a title that gamers will cherish in the years to come.
