A new video was posted up recently showing pre-alpha footage of Free Radical’s Star Wars Battlefront 3. The gameplay footage was made possible via the latest build of Xenia, which shows a nice chunk of gameplay.
If you are a huge fan of Star Wars Battlefront 1 and 2 (the original ones made back in 2004 and 2005 respectively) and wish to see more of Star Wars Battlefront 3, a certain YouTuber might have you covered.
The video comes in courtesy of YouTuber DylanRocket, who shares some of the maps of the game and how pre-alpha footage is now available through Xenia. It’s also worth noting that the footage that you are about to see is an early version of the game and is just a “taste of what could have been.” In other words, it’s not a pure representation of the final product.
With all of that said, you can read over the description that DylanRocket has featured on the video’s description:
“The latest build of Xenia is now able to run Free Radical’s Star Wars Battlefront III pre-alpha. The graphics don’t look too great at the moment but it runs and is playable. In the video, I only showcase some of the maps where you can actually see anything. A lot of maps, such as Mustafar, Coruscant, and Tatooine, are waaay too bright for gameplay. But it’s a great start and at long last, the pre-alpha is now playable.
Don’t expect a masterpiece though. This is a very early version of the game and is simply just a taste of what could have been. It is not an accurate representation of the final product. Yeah, that’s obvious, but there’s always those dimwits who actually think this is as far as they got in development before the game was cancelled.”
The video showing Star Wars Battlefront 3 gameplay can be thoroughly looked over, which runs close to 30 minutes in length thanks to DylanRocket.
