Hideaki Itsuno Says That Devil May Cry 5 Gamescom Demo Is Complete

Gamescom 2018 is one week away and many games will not only appear there but will be playable. One of the many playable games set to appear on the show floor is Devil May Cry 5, which according to DMC5′s director, Hideaki Itsuno, the demo is complete and ready. Gamescom 2018 is set to go live from August 21st to August 25th.

Whether you are leery about the upcoming Devil May Cry game or wish to see more of it, do know that the European games event known as Gamescom will offer up attendees the very opportunity to either view it extensively or go hands-on.

How we know that Devil May Cry 5 will make an appearance at this year’s Gamescom comes directly from DMC5′s director Itsuno, which was announced during an interview he had with Inside Xbox.

Twice during the Inside Xbox interview, Itsuno brings up that Devil May Cry 5 will appear at Gamescom and will be playable. I’m not sure what the demo will offer up content-wise, but if you want an idea or read deeper into Itsuno’s words, you have this tweet to go by that announces the completion of said demo.

Furthermore, Itsuno seems to be very confident in the works put into the game, insofar he brought up in the June 13th interview that he’s “confident” the game will “exceed expectations.” However, I think a game itself should speak in that department after folks try it.

Anyway, what is known right now is that Devil May Cry 5 is 75 percent done and that Nero and Dante will face “their strongest foe yet.” The story will presumably focus on something “mysterious” regarding the demon world, with Nero going off to recover something he lost.

With all of that said, you can look for Devil May Cry 5 to make its debut next year in the spring of 2019 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
