Achtung! Cthulhu Tactics Now Available For PS4, Xbox One; Switch Version Coming Soon

Auroch Digital and Ripstone Games announced that Achtung! Cthulhu Tactics is currently available for the PlayStation 4 and will arrive on the Xbox Store later in the day starting November 23rd for £19.99. The Nintendo Switch version of the game will be available at a later date.

During the launch, PlayStation Plus owners will receive a 25% off discount for the game, bringing the price down ever so slightly.

The Steam version of the game is already available, having launched in October to coincide with all the spectacularly spookiness that dropped during the month. So in case you missed it, it’s already out and available for PC gamers.

Achtung! Cthulhu Tactics is a World War II, turn-based, supernatural tactical strategy game. Imagine if XCOM and Commandos got together and Cthulhu decided to slip a double willie up the wonkers of both and impregnate them with his kid. Well, you would get Achtung!.

As showcased in the trailer, the game is based on the tabletop game of the same name. Players will take control of a handful of different heroes, each with their own special skillsets and abilities.

The game starts off with players having to take on the Wehrmacht forces, utilizing the game board to execute stealthy attacks and maintain a low profile. However, as the game progresses, players will have to smarten up their strategies and get tactical as the Nazi forces will be influenced or controlled by Cthulhu himself.

The game combines the traditional elements of World War II combat with the supernatural fantasy of the Lovecraftian universe. You’ll also have access to certain role-playing mechanics, such as upgrading the members of Charlie Company and unlocking new abilities as you progress through the game.

If you’ve played the board game and wanted to take a crack at the turn-based title based on the Cthulhu mythos, you can do so on the PS4, Xbox One or on Steam for PC right now. If you’re holding out for the Switch version, you’ll have to stay tuned for the official release date.
