I Am Vengeance, Stu Bennett Action Movie Features Anna Shaffer From Netflix’s The Witcher

Saban Films and LionsGate’s I Am Vengeance is currently available on Steam right now. It stars former WWE star Stu Bennett, better known to most wrestling fans as Wade Barrett, as a man out for vengeance after his best friend bites the dust.

The movie sees Bennett as special forces, hiding out and staying under the radar just until his best friend is captured and killed, along with his best friend’s parents. Bennett teams up with Anna Shaffer, his friend’s girlfriend, to discover what they were investigating as well as take on a rogue group of diverse soldiers who abandoned their posts in Afghanistan.

For those of you unfamiliar with Shaffer, she’s the half-breed who was selected to play as Triss Merigold, a white magician, in the upcoming Netflix series The Witcher.

The film looks kind of cheap in a lot of areas, but majority of the enjoyment will be dependent on how well the action scenes play out.

Director Ross Boyask at least seems to recognize what he’s working with and keeps the tone lighthearted enough for Bennett to stretch his charisma and get in a few equips and jokes while he pops baddies in between the eyes and reduces the bad guy count by a significant margin.

It’s tough to tell what the hand-to-hand combat sequences are like given that we don’t get to see much of it, but Bennett definitely has some physical traits to prowess given his days in the WWE, so hopefully the choreography doesn’t disappoint.

If you were at least wondering whether or not Anna Shaffer has any acting chops, you can also check the film out just in case you were at least still somewhat willing to give Netflix’s “diversity” ridden rendition of The Witcher a chance.

Anyway, the movie seems to be a mostly one-man-army action-packed throwback to the yesteryears of films made for men. If you’re interested in checking it out, you can do so by visiting the Steam store page where I Am Vengeance is currently available for $16.99 to purchase or $4.99 to rent.
