Microsoft Confirms That Xbox Will Appear At E3 2019

It looks like Sony won’t be heading to E3 2019 next year, but Microsoft will be hitting up the event and taking the stage to reveal whatever is on its portfolio. This will take place during the same quarter in June (second quarter) starting on the 11th and ending on the 13th next year.

Whether a company, publisher, developer, or individual is attempting to be informative or cringe-worthy or whatever, the event that brings the usual meme-like content and embarrassing moments in gaming media along with hands-on stage events and trailers will take place next year in June.

One of the early exhibitors that will be there is Microsoft, making an announcement of said appearance on various social media platforms such as Twitter, as seen below:

I’m sure the usual virtue signaling and (N)PC checklist stuff will be injected in the event, but right now nothing has been announced from Microsoft what will be present or hinted at come June 11th-13th, 2019.

Anyway, we do know that last year the ESA disclosed on prnewswire.com how many attendees showed up, how “millions” watched this year’s E3 and the overall success of the show.

In addition to the above, we learn from an anonymous writer the following information:

“LOS ANGELES, June 14, 2018 /PRNewswire/ — More than 69,200 people attended E3 2018, the year’s most influential and anticipated event for video games. Millions more around the world watched the week’s events online. The Entertainment Software Association (ESA), the trade association that represents the U.S. video game industry and owns and produces E3, also revealed that next year’s E3 will take place June 11-13, 2019 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. On E3’s final day, ESA announced Brigham Young University (BYU) took top honors as the winner of E3 College Game Competition.”

Following up on the anonymous writer comes a small report from Michael D. Gallagher, the president and CEO of ESA, who wrote:

“E3 2018 was an enormous success, amplified by the thousands of gamers in attendance and millions more around the world who watched online. E3 2018 reinforced the cultural prominence of video games for a global audience. Congratulations to our innovative exhibitors, members, and partners and to the millions of gamers who celebrated a spectacular E3 with us.”

There’s no telling how successful next year E3 will be, but If you want to learn more about E3 2019, you can head on over to e3expo.com.
