Bright Memory – Episode 1 To Hit PC Via Steam On January 11th

Bright Memory may be a Steam Early Access game that comes from a Chinese developer whose track record has nothing to back it up as being solid or valid, but if the game plays out as promised in the newly released gameplay trailer gamers might have an interesting title to play next week.

Something worth noting before moving on is that the devs changed the main character’s school girl outfit, which, during cut-scenes, the skirt offered players a glimpse up above. As of now, that’s no longer a thing for those curious.

If you aren’t repulsed by said change and interested in gameplay, the independent game developer FYQD wanted players to experience a gun and blade setup that takes place in first-person. Although I personally would have preferred a third person camera style, the devs wanted folks to experience the strange land and all of its secrets through the eyes of SAI opposition — Shelia.

Yes, the evil organization that is SAI found research of another company named SRO, which can bring back creatures and relics of the past. The former company will do anything for this device meaning that SRO and crew must get down to the bottom SAI’s ill intent for the magical device.

If that sounds like fun along with killing mystical creatures and bad foes, using guns in a fancy way, and boasting a sword in style, you can see for yourself if the first episode of Bright Memory is worth your time:

Lastly, I’m not a fan of the whole episodic stuff. It would be better if the indie devs just released the game as full in early access without the whole segmented releases. Anyway, the game is set to drop on Steam Early Access on January 11th, 2019, with specs as listed below:
