Andrew Wilson Says The Upcoming Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order “Plays Spectacularly Well”

Electronic Arts Q3 financial report may have brought forth new information, but the call also brought forth some outlandish claims in an attempt to please investors. One of the many claims comes from EA’s CEO, Andrew Wilson, who notes during the conference call that the upcoming Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order “plays spectacularly well.”

Whether you are an optimistic Star Wars fan or a jaded one due to what’s happening to the recent movies and video games, do know that yet another video game entry is set to debut either Q3 or Q4 2019.

That’s correct, the game that was announced in an unprofessional way at E3 2018 (as seen below) found a spot in the recent EA Q3 finical results on February 5th, 2019.

If, however, the cringe interview didn’t answer the question of what is Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, the official website attempts to explain the upcoming fall 2019 game:

“From Respawn Entertainment comes a brand-new action adventure game which tells an original Star Wars story around a surviving Padawan set shortly after the events of Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith. The game will be releasing Holiday 2019. Sign up for our newsletter to be among the first to learn more about Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.”

But there’s more. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is said to “play spectacularly well” according to Wilson. He also claims to investors on finance.yahoo.com the following information:

“In addition to Apex Legends, another team at Respawn is set to deliver Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order this fall. This game’s development is led by the former director of the God of War series with a team of veterans from some of the industry’s biggest action-adventure games. It’s very far along in development, and having spent time with it recently myself, it plays spectacularly well. This game truly captures the fantasy of becoming a Jedi, and we will have a lot more to share soon.”

EA’s COO and CFO Blake Jorgensen also followed up on Wilson and commented about the upcoming Star Wars title stating that gamers will get to see it in the “next few months.” Jorgensen even went hands-on with the game and stated: “I think people will be blown away by it.”

Being honest here, I’m not holding my breath on this one. It wouldn’t shock me if Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order faced a delay (or two) and even released buggy. However, time will tell what will go down when the upcoming trailer hits the web and release rolls around this fall.
