Mortal Kombat 11 Gameplay Video Finally Reveals Skarlet’s Cleavage For The Very First Time In-Game

NetherRealms Studios revealed the first uncut gameplay video of Johnny Cage after revealing him in a promo trailer just a day before. In the video, Johnny Cage takes on Skarlet, who is still highly covered up, but her purple and black desert outfit finally features a small cutout, giving gamers a look through the window of Skarlet’s cleavage for the very first time during actual in-game.

All of the previous outfits for the female characters in Mortal Kombat 11 have basically kept them covered up from head to toe. None of the classic female costumes from Mortal Kombat 3 up through Mortal Kombat 9 have been featured in the game, even though plenty of the male characters in Mortal Kombat 11 have been featured in shirtless variations or alternate costumes with their chests being bare, and their abs being touted like Greek gods.

Thanks to a video snippet captured from a NetherRealms livestream, we get to see that one of the chest pieces for Skarlet bares a small window of opportunity into the promised land of cleavage. You can check out the video below courtesy of Gamespot.

As you can see, Johnny Cage’s alt features him in a throwback to his Mortal Kombat 2 gear. Completely shirtless and wearing the black and blue pants that became an iconic apparel statement for the fictional martial arts movie star. His witticism and charisma are on full display for the short little intro sequences, matched up nicely with his action-figure laden outros.

Skarlet, meanwhile, is still rather bland in her characterization, coming across as little more than another angry female with a penchant for blood. Her face – this time around – is completely covered in a mask, attached to the shemagh she was wearing during her reveal trailer.

Her pants are similar to the desert terrorist gear she was wearing during her reveal, with strap-up boots and kneepads filling out the lower half of her lower half, and full waist-high pants that connect into the lower torso obi belt.

The upper chest area is where the costume finally shows off a little bit of life. A cupped, leather bustier is exposed underneath an open, purple shawl.

Here we’re able to finally get a look at Skarlet’s more exposed bits.

The cleavage dips down into a ‘V’ shape with hard lines that connect into the purple under-linen across her upper clavicle, giving you a look at just down the xiphoid process through the coastal margin that cuts off just at the curvature of the mammaries near the xiphisternum pass.

The decollete exposure isn’t much, as it lacks the kind of pectoralis muscles to give any sort of eye-catching curvature around the lower neckline, nor is there enough stroma tissue highlighted underneath the areola to create any kind of noteworthy protuberance from the side profile, opposite of the very chiseled and large-chested Johnny Cage, which comes across as “benevolent sexism”. Hence, I would probably barely rate Skarlet’s cleavage a middling 4 out of 10.

There seems to be bigger bumps on the Utah Salt Flats than on her chest.

So even in giving gamers something, it’s still no where near as sexually appealing as say, Johnny Cage, who is displayed as a super-hunk on the opposite side of the bomb-vest-ready Skarlet. As you’ll note, Cage is given perfectly aligned pecs, ample deltoids, and solid rock hard abs, dripping with masculinity and oozing with mouth-watering sex appeal.

On the upside, at least NetherRealms studios has showcased the first bits of cleavage for the female fighters, but they have a long way to go if they even remotely want to appeal to gamers who appreciate the fine art of Boner Culture.

Mortal Kombat 11 is due for release on April 23rd, 2019 for the Xbox One, PS4, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
