Video game road maps are nothing new, certain titles that sport deluxe or special editions or even a Season Pass will outline what’s to come for a game. Well, that seems to be no different here with Bethesda’s Rage 2, which will gain new events, community challenges, new vehicles, additional enemies, new cheats, and two “big” expansions from May through December 2019.
If you are not like me and find an interest in Rage 2, do know that the game will release and won’t stay in the dark post-launch. It looks like Avalanche Studios, id Software, and Bethesda Softworks are planning to extend the colorful third-person shooter’s lifespan for eight months — if not longer.
According to a new blog post on bethesda.net, the following image surfaced:
If you can’t see the image above, a written description by Bethesda explaining future Rage 2 content can be seen below:
“The party doesn’t stop when RAGE 2 launches on May 14. With events, community challenges, new vehicles, additional enemies, new Cheats, and two huge expansions, RAGE 2’s calendar is pretty packed for the rest of 2019.”
After the FPS game’s launch, there will be weekly community challenges, and there will be a brand new in-game event, “Bring the Ruckus,” featuring Ruckus the Crusher. To obtain these new skins and weapons you will need to be online and signed in with your bethesda.net account.
During the warm days of June comes the “first big game update,” which brings with it fresh community challenges, new cheats, and two “major events.” A pilotable Mech will be the new vehicle type and a new enemy will tag along all for free.
The hot days of July contain another new vehicle type and enemy for Rage 2 players. New community challenges, skins, and cheats will be available throughout the seventh month too.
August is said to be the month of RAGE 2’s first big expansion. The DLC titled “Rise of the Ghosts” explores a new storyline, region and the usual stuff of added weapons, abilities, and vehicles.
September – December
Throughout September and December is reported to be “plenty more.” Content scheduled to debut consists of the second major expansion (due for November) and “more.”
