Star Control: Origins Expansion Earth Rising – Part 2: Return of The Lexites Now Available
Star Control

Stardock Entertainment announced that the second part to the Earth Rising expansion for Star Control: Origins has officially launched on Steam, GOG.com, and the Stardock store. You won’t have to pay separately for the second part, as it’s bundled into the original Earth Rising expansion, which is available for $19.99. They also announced that the third part of the expansion will be release at some point this summer.

The first part of Star Control: Origins – Earth Rising came out way back in the middle of December of 2018. The expansion introduced players to a new alien species, new ships, and new side-quests to complete.

The second part of that expansion brings an additional race into the fold, as players will be tasked with taking on the Lexites, who are intent on preventing Earthlings from expanding further into the galaxy.

You can get a glimpse of the alien antagonists in the trailer below.

As mentioned in the video, the Lexites have diverged from the purpose of their original creation and have become a threat to humanity and humanity’s allies.

You’ll have to juggle between the fine balance of keeping the peace and blasting the villains clean out of space.

The second part of the expansion also comes with new missions and new ships that you can both battle against and unlock and purchase.

New weapons have also been added to the game as well, so you’ll have additional ways to blow all sorts of space vessels to smithereens.

You can pick up Star Control: Origins – Earth Rising right now, which contains both Part 1 and Part 2. As mentioned at the top of the article, Part 3 will release in the summer with Part 4 to follow later in the year. All four parts will be available for a one-time purchase of $19.99 for the entire Earth Rising expansion. For more info feel free to visit the official Stardock website.
