Arc System Works last year announced that there would be a total count of 40 playable characters, 20 of whom are post-launch DLC characters in BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle. Well, nine more will join the fray via the Version 2.0 update which launches on November 21st, 2019, across PC, PS4, and Switch.
In case you didn’t tune-in to see the announcement after BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle grand finals at EVO 2019, the Version 2.0 update and “Version 2.0 Content Pack” will drop Q4 2019. This pack features nine characters where four of them are in the latest trailer.
Whether you are a fan of her or other Senran Kagura: Estival Versus girls, do know that the busty Yumi is one of the four playable characters in the 2D fighting game as seen in the latest trailer.
That’s right, the Q4 DLC that runs for $24.99 will add nine new fighters to the roster including Yumi (Senran Kagura: Estival Versus), Neo Politan (RWBY), Akatsuki (Akatsuki Blitzkampf), and Blitztank (Akatsuki Blitzkampf).
Version 2.0 also brings new scenarios, new character interactions, and colors. Additionally, this patch will bring free balance adjustment to all users — meaning 2.0 characters without the Version 2.0 Expansion Pack can still fight each other.
Sadly, buyers and fans are left in the dark regarding the other five fighters’ identity, but I’m sure the devs will fix that moving forward near the end of this quarter.
Moreover, don’t expect BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle to tone down the whole DLC churn out in the near future given that last year marked a sad state for the game in question. In other words, expect more DLC packs moving forward.
As mentioned above, nine more characters will join the list of playable fighters via the upcoming update that launches on November 21st where four of them are known— which includes Senran Kagura: Estival Versus‘ Yumi, RWBY’s Neo Politan, and Akatsuki Blitzkampf’s Akatsuki and Blitztank.
