Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare PC Beta Specs Revealed

If “game journos” aren’t butt hurt over Activision and Infinity Ward’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare depicting Middle Eastern women with guns as bad, or White Phosphorus being a Killstreak, then you can bet it’ll be something else. Behold, Activision and its crew aren’t saints by any stretch, but the company aims to release a playable beta soon for PC goers, and the official specs are now up.

I’m not sure why the beta calls for 45GB of free space if it doesn’t feature that much, but if you are looking to play the first-person shooter for free to see how it fairs, then you have until September 21st to September 23rd to participate in the PC open beta according to blog.activision.com.

I should point out that this beta session is only available on the battle.net launcher, so there’s that.

Also, the beta features crossplay, so if you want to go head to head with people on console, you can do so:

“[…] the Beta will include Crossplay for the first time in Call of Duty history, allowing you, the PC gamer, to defend your honor against console users…”

To run the beta version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, you need 8GB of RAM, and of course 45GB of free space. If you are rocking the 32-bit version of Windows 7, then it’s a no-go for you, but folks with the 64-Bit edition are good to go:

Minimum PC Specs:

  • Requirements: DirectX 12 compatible system
  • OS: Windows 7 64-Bit (SP1) or Windows 10 64-Bit (1709 or later)
  • CPU: Intel Core i5 2500k or AMD equivalent
  • Video: Nvidia GeForce GTX 670 2GB / GTX 1650 4GB or AMD Radeon HD 7950
  • RAM: 8GB RAM
  • HDD: 45GB HD space
  • Network: Broadband Internet connection
  • Sound Card: DirectX Compatible

As for recommended specs, you have the following to abide by to play the game as intended:

Recommended PC Specs:

  • CPU: Intel Core i7 4770k or AMD equivalent

Lastly, we already know the game will feature current year diversity, but we don’t know how extreme COD Points and microtransactions will be post-launch — expect the worse, though. Anyway, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is due out for PC, PS4, and Xbox One on October 25th, 2019.
