SD Gundam G Generation Cross Rays Arrives November 27th On Steam

Bandai Namco Entertainment has opened up pre-purchases for the Steam version of SD Gundam G Generation Cross Rays. The game was originally revealed for Steam back in late October, and now it’s just a matter of counting down the days until the game officially unlocks on Steam starting November 27th.

There are big advertising banners all over Steam at the moment, informing gamers that the standard and deluxe editions are available for pre-purchase for $59.99 and $84.99 respectively over on the store page.

They’re also intent on luring gamers in with pre-purchase specials that include the bonus Sisquiede production list, the extra standard set parts, and the additional unlocked quest for accessing the character ability set.

The game features four generations of Gundam all rolled into one super-deformed gameplay experience themed around tactical, turn-based combat.

The lists of Gundams from the various series are too many, and the series themselves are numerous. But the general gist is that Mobile Suit Gundam SEED, Mobile Suit Gundam Wing, Mobile Suit Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans and various sub-series are all featured in the game.

This particular outing already released in Asia for the Nintendo Switch and PS4, but it’s the first time that the SD Gundam G Generation line of games will appear in the West on PC.

Plenty of gamers are stoked for this Japanese import being localized into English for fans of Gundam. Hopefully they don’t butcher it so bad that it leaves a foul taste in the mouths of weebs.

If all goes well maybe we’ll see an English release of the game on PS4 and Switch, too? It would be a smart move by Bandai before the next generation of console gaming gets underway and a series like this gets lost in the shuffle.
