Ghost of Tsushima Will Have The Longest Trailer At The Game Awards 2019

Do you remember Ghost of Tsushima? The game by Sony and Sucker Punch about feudal Japan and the Mongol invasion? If not, you’ll likely remember it due to the non-controversy back in 2018 when the game was accused of “cultural appropriation” because a skilled white musician played the Shakuhachi flute during a PlayStation event instead of a Japanese flutist. Well, that game will have one of the longest trailers at The Game Awards 2019.

In the meantime, and before detailing what fans can expect from The Game Awards 2019 presentation of Ghost of Tsushima, you can watch a newly posted trailer that appeared during Sony’s last State of Play for 2019:

The footage captured comes from YouTuber GamersPrey. I know the video in question reveals absolutely nothing that fans already know, but it is what it is.

With that out of the way, According to Geoff Keighley, fans that happen to tune into this year’s Game Awards will get to see a brand new Ghost of Tsushima world premiere trailer.

Keighley makes mention that Sony and Sucker Punch’s game about feudal Japan will have the longest trailer out of all the videos at the event, so there will either be a lot of CGI footage or gameplay surfacing in the next two days:

I should note that it’s not ruled out that this game will more than likely hit PS5 at a later time to double-dip. However, Sony plans to release the upcoming title on PS4 first.

If that sounds exciting to you, and if you are a fan of Sony and its censorship policies and wish to experience one of the company’s forthcoming exclusives, then you have until 2020 or 2021 to go hands-on with Ghost of Tsushima.
