Negative Atmosphere, Dead Space-Inspired Survival-Horror Trailer Previews A Shotgun Takedown [Update]

[Correction:] Originally the article stated that there were plans for a public demo of Negative Atmosphere to release at the end of 2019, based on old reports from early 2019. However, according to tweets from Sunscorched Studios, there was no public demo planned for the game at the end of 2019 and the trailer that made its way onto GameNewsOfficial wasn’t actually authorized for redistribution.

Additionally, they have not confirmed a PS4 release at this time, as indicated in the re-uplaoded trailer. The main focus that the team has on Negative Atmosphere is for the PC version, and if all goes well they have plans on releasing the game on additional platforms, but without any sort of exclusivity deals at this time.

[Original article:] We haven’t heard much about Sunscorched Studios Negative Atmosphere since its original announcement. The game had gone dark in the media as the team works on the levels, the structure, the combat, and the mechanics. However, to remind gamers that the Dead Space-inspired third-person action shooter is still in development, a teaser trailer was released to help bring in the new year.

The two minute teaser spends most of its time introducing us to the logos for the companies associated with the game, including making it known that the third-person survival-horror title is running on Epic’s Unreal Engine 4.

From there we’re tossed into a dark corridor with flickering lights where the main character, Edwards, curses profanely at the AI. You can check it out below, courtesy of GameNewsOfficial.

The trailer is basically the same as the one from way back in September of 2019, but there was also a new teaser released by Sunscorched as well.

A 22 second teaser featuring some of the game’s stealth mechanics and shotgun play was posted up recently, giving gamers a look at how they can utilize stealth takedowns even though they may have a fairly loud and proud weapon equipped.

The hilarity of it all is that instead of bopping the menstrual-cycle mutant over the head, or grabbing it around the neck, Edwards simply fired off a round directly into the head of his blood-soaked bottom friend.
