Nth^0: Infinity Reborn Action-RPG Announced For PS5, Xbox Series X, PC

U.K., based outfit Kitatus and Friends announced that Nth^0: Infinity Reborn (pronounced nth-squared-zero) is an action-RPG set to arrive for the Xbox Series X, PC and the PlayStation 5 starting February, 2021.

The new game is built from the ground up on the Unreal Engine 4 with next-generation swordplay in mind. Kitatus and Friends have been working on the concept for years to build a game themed around innovative mechanics, where the swordplay doesn’t rely on convention health bars and HP meters.

The hook for Nth^0 is that dismemberment is key to progression. If you land a critical strike on a limb, the limb is gone for good. This works both against enemies and against the player-character.

I like the idea that instead of playing the chipaway game with bosses and difficult enemies, your goal is to try to permanently incapacitate your foes by targeting their limbs. I really wish more games had this feature, but it’s rarely ever present in game’s today despite all the nifty technology at the disposal of developers.

One of the only notable upcoming games with a similar feature is Clock Drive Games’ Warlander.

However, Warlander will reportedly beat Nth^0 to the market, as it’s scheduled to release in 2020 a year ahead of its competitor.

As for Nth^0, the game’s plot revolves around reality on the verge of being eradicated and you must stop a mass extinction of dimensional proportions by traveling across infinite dimensions to stop unspeakable evils.

There is literally nothing available information-wise over on the Kitatus and Friends website for Nth^0. Also, at the moment the website states that the team was only just formed in late January and there are only five people working there as of the writing of this article. Either they’ll need to staff up quick and get to work on the new game ASAP or you can expect some hefty delays for Nth^0 to finish the project in a right proper manner.
