The Yankee Entertainment and Sports Network, the media sports network for various brands and teams in major league sports, announced that YouTube TV dropped the network and all of its affiliate programming after a deal couldn’t be reached following YouTube’s attempt to undercut the worth of the network.
The news comes courtesy of various tweets made on the official YES Network Twitter account starting on March 5th, 2020. The tweet is currently pinned, which you can view below.

The statement regarding YouTube TV dropping the network is contained within an image in the tweet. If for some reason you’re unable to view the image, the statement reads…
“YouTube TV, for its own selfish reasons and with total disregard for its YES customers, has refused to pay the market rate and accept market terms and conditions that other YES distributors have agreed to. In fact, YouTube TV sought a rate that was well below what other YES distributors are paying, and because YES keeps its word to all of its distributors, it could not make the deal. When YouTube TV realized it could not get a sweatheart, below-market deal, it dropped the YES Network. Sinclair, for its own reason, elected to make a deal for some but not all of its programming services which excluded large-market RSNs featuring iconic franchises and star players. The New York Yankees have made it clear to Major League Baseball and YouTube TV that the Yankees will not appear on any national games televised by YouTube TV through its national telecast agreement with Major League Baseball. We urge all of our fans to go to YESNetwork.com to see the list of other streaming services and other distributors that carry the YES Network. With YouTube TV no longer carrying YES, it appears as though YouTube TV customers will pay the same while getting less.”
There’s a follow-up tweet on March 8th, 2020 from the YES Network encouraging those subscribed to YouTube TV to visit the YES Network website in order to find out how to access the content now that YouTube TV has dropped the programming.

Thankfully, beneath the initial tweet is someone rightfully calling out YouTube for exactly what they are.

It always warms my heart to see an inkling of common sense from the plebeians.
Unfortunately the responses are filled with Socialists and Communists running to YouTube’s defense with the sort of verve one might expect from a paid shill.
Anyway, you won’t be able to view YES Network content on YouTube TV anymore as part of your subscription, however you can still view the content from the network on AT&T TV or Hulu. You can learn more about availability by visiting the official YES Network website.
