Blood Machines, Cosmic Opera Lands On Shudder May 21st

One of the most talked about sci-fi horror flicks coming is Seth Ickerman’s Blood Machines, which has been in development for the last several years. It had a very successful Kickstarter campaign back in 2018 and a second Kickstarter campaign in 2019 to flesh out more of the special effects and extend the movie by a small bit.

The latest trailer for Blood Machines reveals that the film will be making its debut exclusively on Shudder starting May 21st.

There are bits and pieces of new footage showcased in the trailer that clocks in at just under two minutes.

The trailer doesn’t really get into the actual plot of the film (but that’s what the other trailers are for), however the movie is about two bounty hunters who encounter the soul of a spaceship that takes the form of a woman. Blood Machines is a space-faring adventure as the bounty hunters attempt to discover and understand the woman’s connection to the ship and the cosmic powers she houses.

The film has a really cool vibe to it that matches the hardcore darkwave vibes of Carpenter Brut, who scored the soundtrack to Blood Machines.

The collaboration originally started when Seth Ickerman and Carpenter Brut teamed up for the music video for the song “Turbo Killer”. The music video was pretty awesome, and that’s the sort of vibe they’re going for with Blood Machines.

The film is chock full of violence, nudity, cool special effects and awesome music based on what they’ve previewed so far, and I can’t wait for it to go live on May 21st next month.

You can check the film out when it hits the Shudder streaming service to get your fill of the techno horror flick. Hopefully it catches on enough to spawn imitators because we could definitely use more films like Blood Machines.
