How Not To Summon A Demon Lord Free Episodes Banned From YouTube

How not To Summon A Demon Lord Banned

Some companies are nice. They actually care about the fans. They actually care about producing engaging content. They also care about spreading the word and growing their audience. The production committee behind the anime adaptation of How Not To Summon A Demon Lord fits the bill for the aforementioned description of companies caring about their audience. They wanted to raise awareness for the show and help build hype for the second season by giving the entire first season away for free on YouTube. YouTube, however, would have none of it.

Sankaku Complex is reporting that after initially announcing a YouTube playlist back on April 29th, 2020, featuring all of the episodes of the first season of How Not To Summon A Demon Lord, the company had to later inform the public that the episodes had been pulled.

Just two days after making the announcement that the episodes would be available on YouTube, the official Twitter account for How Not To Summon A Demon Lord informed followers that the YouTube playlist had been purged due to YouTube prohibiting the official episodes from being available on the platform.

Sankaku Complex offered a translation of the tweet, which states…

“ – Notification regarding the cancellation of the entire first season being available for free –

“Due to YouTube’s rules, we’re sorry to say that we’ve arrived at the decision to cancel releasing the entire first season for free via the Full Anime TV channel. We apologize for any trouble caused to all the fans who were looking forward to it, we are truly very sorry. Production of the second season is eagerly in progress. Do please anticipate it! “

It’s a dire shame really.

The show is filled to the brim with fan-service and ecchi content, so it’s no surprise that since the series caters to straight males that YouTube would attempt to purge the content from their platform, not unlike how Steam’s taste police have enacted the waifu holocaust against anime-style games that are also geared toward straight males.

However, not all hope is lost. Technically they could still follow through with the plan… just not on YouTube.

Someone should contact them and inform them that Bitchute.com exists.

If they could get a bunch of users to start using Bitchute for their anime needs then that could be a huge blow to YouTube. Could you imagine if the anime community began migrating elsewhere? Millions of views would be shifted to the competitor in a heartbeat.

In any case, you can look for the second season of How Not To Summon A Demon Lord to air in 2021 courtesy of Tezuka Productions.
