Live-Action Akira Movie Is Still In The Works, Releasing Much Later

The movie Thor: Love and Thunder has a release date of November 5th, 2021. If you are baffled by what that movie has to do with Akira the live-action adaptation, I’ll explain. Akira Anime From Creator Katsuhiro Otomo Reportedly In The Works

Akira fans will have something new to look forward to outside of the upcoming live-action movie, insofar that at this past year’s Anime Expo creator of the popular 1982 manga series (based on the unfinished 1979 Fireball project) and 1988 anime, Katsuhiro Otomo, will help with producing a new anime based on the Akira franchise. Yes, it looks like the 2020 Olympics that the manga and anime predicted may be accompanied with the release of brand new Akira media.
