Evil Mojo Games and Hi-Rez Studios held a skin contest for the multiplayer hero shooter game, Paladins. There was one skin that people really liked from Crimean artist Semen Tjumencew called “Impossible Talia”. After the community complained to the high heavens about the Furia censorship, and the social media feeds for Hi-Rez Studios became an embittered battleground of textual napalm and meme-filled potshots from the Twitter sniper nests, the developers realized that splitting their community like Moses split the Red Sea over the visibility of a woman’s thick, fleshy pair of thighs just wasn’t worth it… so they relented.
Hi-Rez walked back from their original stance by resurrecting the original design of Furia for Paladins. But they didn’t completely turn their back on the SJW crowd, as they are also keeping the conservative design, giving both camps what they desired. [Update 6-5-2018:] Hi-Rez Studios has walked back their stance on censorship, allowing players to play as both a covered up and uncovered version of Furia. Both versions of Furia will be avialable in update 1.1.
[Original article:] Hi-Rez Studios recently introduced a new champion named Furia to the Paladins MOBA community. A small subset of the community complained that Furia’s thighs were exposed. Hi-Rez Studios’ Paladins has officially graduated from Early Access and is now out of beta and in its fully released form of version 1.0. The release of the game comes after two years of Early Access development, where Hi-Rez initially entered the game into the development program back in September of 2016, but has rolled out version 1.0 of the release as of May, 2018.
