Once again, Arch Warhammer, now known as Arch following threats of litigation from Games Workshop following the discovery Arch politically leans conservative, faces cancelation attempts. Following a showcase of Studio FOW’s adult game Subverse, Studio FOW received a barrage of angry messages and out of context screenshots depicting Arch in a severely negative light.
Studio FOW has released an updated developmental roadmap indicating that since they decided to skip an Early Access run and just release a complete game when it’s finished, you won’t be seeing the adult-themed game hit digital storefronts until 2021. This means that Tim Pool won’t have to worry about his Subverse media network being completely buried on the search engines with waifu material from men of culture until at least 2021. Studio FOW’s Subverse was the one game that rocked the gaming world earlier this year when it blasted past its Kickstarter goals and went on to become a rip-roaring success on the crowdfunding platform. [Update 4/14/2019:] Tim Pool reached out to explain that there’s no lawsuit yet, he’s only retained a lawyer. He also stated that the trademark filing has nothing to do with ownership, since the earliest use was stated as 2015 in the filing. Pool went on to say that the purpose of the video was to inform his community what was happening, and since he says Studio F.O.W., was only responding to lawyers that the point was to send letters and discuss possible solutions. Studio F.O.W informed the community that they’ve managed to surpass the $550,000 (or £420,000) mark in their Kickstarter with 19 days to go. The developers dropped an important update indicating that they will be adding Fowchan to the game if they can hit £550,000 (or $720,000). Studio F.O.W., or the video game arm known as FOW Interactive, recently announced their space-adventure RPG, Subverse. It’s an adult-themed mixture between Mass Effect, XCOM and Star Control, with a healthy dose of R18+ cinematics that Studio F.O.W., has become infamous for.
