Last of Us 2 Falls to 4th Place During Second Week of Sales in Japan

Sony’s ongoing campaign of insulting detractors by asserting they are bigots while DMCAing content creators, does not appear to be having any success in preventing The Last of Us 2 sales from declining. As prior reported,  sales in the UK have declined by 80% in the game’s second week on the market. No word has emerged on how well sales figures are doing in the United States have been released. Last of Us 2 Sales Drop 80%

In prior coverage and in the comments I postulated that the likely outcome for The Last of US 2 was going to be strong launch week sales followed by a massive drop off similar to other games with great marketing budgets. This theory has now been confirmed by the GfK sales charts in the U.K., as reported by GamesIndustry.biz. As The Last of Us 2 has seen an 80% drop in sales week over week. Editorial: The Last of Us 2 Could Have Been A Good Lesson

The Last of Us 2 is potentially one of the most exceptional missed opportunities in modern gaming. It had the opportunity to present an extremely meaningful and philosophical exploration of the cycle of revenge and what sets it off, but instead mired itself in Druckmann’s self-inserts and “progressive” identity politics. What am I talking about? You are wondering as you ready my execution for heresy. Likely on a pyre if you have any taste, but hear me out on how this could have been a good game. Yes Outlets Do Take Bribes For Positive Coverage, But Not In the Way You’d Think

On June 16, former IGN reporter Alanah Pearce made waves across the internet as she attempted to illustrate, from her claimed perspective, why the 10/10 reviews The Last of US 2 has received from all the mainstream outlets are not paid reviews. The term “claimed” is used as during the 17-minute video on several occasions contradictory statements are made on essential points. Then there are instances where she is either misinformed or outright lying. Continue reading “Yes Outlets Do Take Bribes For Positive Coverage, But Not In the Way You’d Think”

Sony Copyright Strikes Jeremy of Geeks and Gamers Twitter Account

Let us deal with the elephant in the room before getting into the crux of this story. Some will inevitably argue it is unfair to say “Sony Copyright struck Jeremy’s Twitter Account” because MUSO did. Simply this is like saying the mafia isn’t responsible for what their commissioned goons do. It is an absurd claim. If Sony doesn’t like their name associated with this behavior, then they should call up their contracted partner MUSO and tell them to stop. Till then, MUSO’s actions are done on behalf of Sony, as Sony contracted them to be done, so Sony will be blamed for them. The Last of Us 2 YouTube Copyright
