Watching the latest Yakuza 7 trailer it is very easy to understand why a lot of fans are unhappy. Despite my personal excitement mixed with a curiosity its design is more akin to a spin off than an official mainline entry. Back on November 13th, 2019, Sega released the demo for Ryu Ga Gotoku Studios’ Yakuza 7: Like A Dragon, as reported by Gematsu. While that might seem like good news, the bad news is that the demo is only available in Japan. However, there’s more good news and it’s that Japanese gamers have been livestreaming the demo since its release, to give gamers a full and thorough look at the upcoming turn-based, beat-’em-up drama. Sega released some new trailers for Yakuza 7 at this year’s Tokyo Game Show. The first trailer features the official English localization, which is due to be made available in 2020. Ryu Ga Totoku Studio’s upcoming title diverts from the traditional series insofar that there’s a new protagonist, a new story, and an all new combat system.
